Sun's version of the software is in rough form, but the Santa Clara, Calif., server seller is showing it at its JavaOne trade show. Java is software that lets the same program run on different computers--for example, those using Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. The story also suggests these ad agencies are better off to leave the work to search engine marketing professionals. Traditional advertising agencies find that search engine marketing is difficult. Not only is it more complicated than it would appear, but it's also difficult in making it profitable. Companies offering keyword bidding tools have lulled some agencies into a false sense of confidence. "Our bidding tool will make search engine marketing effortless," they were told.
